Dr. Maxfield is a board-certified dermatologist and fellowship-trained Mohs Micrographic Surgeon. He was born and raised in Colorado and completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs, completed medical school through Lake Erie College of Osteopathic medicine, and Dermatology residency and Micrographic Surgery and Dermatologic Oncology fellowship at Campbell University in North Carolina.

His background is in medical education, where he has tutored, taught, and developed a curriculum to prepare young doctors for general medical and dermatologic boards as well as published over 20 papers in peer-reviewed journals.

He is the Co-Founder and CEO of ScriptDerm, through which he strives to expand access to board-certified dermatologists and prescription care. He also co-founded one of the largest dermatology and skincare channels in the world bringing information in an entertaining way to millions.

Outside of dermatology Dr. Maxfield spends time with his wife and family and believes in continually engaging the body and mind through surfing, exercise, and chess.
